Job description
Summary:
The Quality Assurance Coordinator plays a key role in supporting Safran Test Cells' commitment to outstanding quality and a safe working environment. This entry-level position focuses on quality assurance activities, such as assisting in the Quality Management System (QMS), supporting AS9100 compliance, and assisting with audits, while also incorporating essential Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) responsibilities. The role promotes continuous improvement, supports adherence to safety standards, and provides support across operational teams to support compliance and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of QMS documentation for HR and HSE.
• Support internal quality audits by preparing documentation, scheduling audits, and tracking corrective actions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve processes.
• Help coordinate supplier audits and monitor compliance with Safran Test Cells' quality standards.
• Provide support in HSE monthly reporting.
• Provide support for implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies across the organization.
• Assist in developing and maintaining safety programs to promote a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with OSHA and Safran Corporate HSE standards.
• Help manage PPE inventory and ensure proper distribution to staff.
• Participate in safety audits and inspections, document findings and supporting corrective actions.
• Assist in delivering safety training and communicating safety alerts to staff, including travel safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
Candidate skills & requirements
Education/Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in aerospace, and/or Safran Test Cells preferred.
Qualifications:
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Self-motivated, organized, able to multi-task, prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment while exercising initiative and judgment as well as making decisions within scope of assigned authority.
• Strong sense of urgency, solid organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, with close attention to detail.
• Strong QMS comprehension.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written, with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable, delivering a positive customer service and team experience.
• Basic understanding of OSHA requirements and workplace safety practices.
• Able and willing to travel up to 15% of the time, domestically and internationally, as required.
