    As a Senior Analyst, you will work across two critical business sectors for the embecta organization, the North America Commercial Team and the Corporate Strategy Team. With North America Commercial Team, you will deliver advanced analytics and market insights that guide strategic decision-making across Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Leadership. This role goes beyond reporting — you will frame data into compelling business stories, provide forward-looking analyses, and help Sales and Marketing teams act on opportunities. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, can navigate ambiguity, and influences stakeholders at all levels.

     

    With the Corporate Strategy Team, this role will be instrumental in providing analysis to support expansion initiatives and delivering insights that inform the company’s strategic and executive-level decisions. This will support high-impact initiatives with enterprise-wide visibility, including market and performance models that influence global investment priorities and corporate materials for earnings calls and investor communications.

     

    This role will be hybrid in our Parsippany, New Jersey office 2 days a week

    Responsibilities

    + Leverage embecta's collective data and research platforms concerning patients, prescribers, sales channels, competitors, and market dynamics to develop market models, analyses and reports that will be used to shape embecta’s business plans and go-to-market strategies

    + Help develop and maintain dashboards and financial models, including the Global Market Model and other forecasting tools, to support strategic decision-making at the leadership level across geographies, product lines, and functions

    + Lead analyses leveraging embecta’s internal and external data (IQVIA, Symphony, Clarivate, etc.) to uncover market dynamics, competitor behavior, and channel shifts.

    + Deliver market data updates to inform and support discussions among the leadership team, providing a clear, data-driven view on performance, market dynamics, and strategic progress, translating complex analysis into actionable recommendations

    + Support strategic expansion initiatives, partnerships, and other business development opportunities by creating business cases, synergy assessments, and end-to-end analyses.

    + Contribute to the development of earnings call materials and other corporate communications through development of analytical methodologies, market data analyses, and visualization of market trends- ensuring accuracy, clarity, and data alignment with messaging.

    + Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership to identify growth opportunities, refine targeting, and design territory/account strategies based on data-driven insights.

    + Evaluate sales programs and incentive performance, offering thought partnership for future design.

    + Develop and automate dashboards and reporting pipelines to provide scalable, repeatable insights.

    + Support strategic initiatives such as pricing, segmentation, forecasting, and portfolio optimization.

    + Scope and lead exploratory advanced analytics (predictive modeling, segmentation, opportunity scoring).

    + Contribute thought leadership on how embecta can leverage data and analytics to stay ahead of industry trends and further support reporting automation, continuous improvement, and innovation in analytics.

    + Communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization and across global teams, engaging the right stakeholders at the right moments to influence decisions, drive alignment, and ensure momentum around shared strategic goals undefined.

    + Miscellaneous and/or ad-hoc projects, analyses or administrative duties as assigned.

    Basic Requirements:

    + Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business-related field required.

    + 5+ years of relevant analytics experience, preferably within pharmaceuticals, medical devices, OTC, or CPG.

    + Experience designing and automating reporting solutions.

    + Hands-on experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).

    + Strong Microsoft 365 suite capabilities.

    Preferred Requirements:

    + Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, with ability to connect findings to business impact.

    + Strong communication and storytelling abilities, including executive-facing presentations.

    + Comfort working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources (sales, market, competitive, customer).

    + Ability to independently manage projects, prioritize competing demands, and navigate ambiguity.

    + Collaborative mindset, with proven ability to partner across Sales, Marketing, IT, and Strategy.

    + Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or advanced analytics (R, Python, or similar).

    + Growth-oriented — eager to mentor peers and advance embecta’s analytics maturity.

    + Demonstrated ability to move from analysis to business recommendations with measurable impact.

     

    _Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $109,600 -$145,250 (subject to variation depending on physical location)._

     

    _Posted salary ranges are provided in good faith. embecta reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate’s experience, qualifications, external market conditions, and internal equity considerations._
