             Kubernetes Engineer Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI with Polygraph Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: None Type of Travel: None Anticipated Posting End: 12/22/2025 The Opportunity CACI is seeking a results-driven **Kubernetes Engineer** (System Administrator) to join the PGMM team—a program enabling planning, scheduling, and real-time situational awareness across a global user base. The team of 30+ professionals operates between Chantilly, VA, and Denver, CO, within an Agile SAFe framework across three development teams. Key Responsibilities: _System Operations, Security, and Compliance:_ + Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the PGMM system. Monitor system health, perform regular backups, and address issues promptly to minimize downtime. Implement and maintain compliance with all security standards and regulations, conducting regular security audits and vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data and systems. _Technology and Infrastructure Management:_ + Administer and manage core technologies including Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Helm, Harbor, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab, Confluence, Jira, AWS, and Linux. Implement best practices for system administration and software engineering while staying current with emerging technologies and trends. Deploy, scale, and manage applications using Kubernetes Pods and related resources, including resource allocation, storage management, and secure cluster operations. _Collaboration, Support, and Documentation:_ + Work collaboratively within a 30+ member Agile engineering team supporting the full software development lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives while collaborating with external development teams to integrate and manage APIs and data flows. Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 user support, develop and deliver training sessions, and maintain comprehensive documentation including system configurations, user guides, and troubleshooting materials. _Project Execution and Continuous Improvement:_ + Assist in planning and executing system upgrades and maintenance projects, coordinating with project managers to ensure timely delivery of enhancements and updates. Manage change requests, maintain accurate reporting on system performance, and identify opportunities for ongoing improvement and efficiency across infrastructure and operations. _Qualifications_ + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. CompTIA Security+ certification required. + Minimum of 3–5 years of experience, including at **least 1 year in Kubernetes administration and container orchestration.** + **Application Deployment** : Deploy, scale, and manage applications using Kubernetes Pods and related resources. + **Resource Management** : Allocate resources (CPU, memory) to Pods and manage quotas and limits. + **Security** : Implement and manage access control (RBAC), secure communication, and compliance with best practices. + Storage Management: Configure and manage storage classes, Persistent Volumes (PVs), and Persistent Volume Claims (PVCs). + Experience developing Java applications with Spring. + Proficiency with kubectl and Kubernetes CLI. + Experience with Helm, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker). + Strong understanding of networking, storage, and security in Kubernetes. + Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). + Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication, and teamwork. _Desired Qualifications_ + Overhead Mission Management experience. + Cloud Architecture experience – AWS preferred. + Proficiency with Grafana, Prometheus, Helm, ArgoCD, and similar tools. + Certification related to systems administration (e.g., RHCE, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate). + Experience with Agile methodologies and SAFe. + Strong proficiency with all core technologies listed above. - ________________________________________________________________________________________ What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
