As the Assistant Director of Healthcare Services (ADON) with Halcyon House, you will: + Collaborate with the DON for overall nursing leadership within our Long-Term Care, Skilled and Memory-Care areas + Orientate, train, and provide ongoing training and supervision to employees + Assist in the evaluation of the health care services needed for each resident + Serve as the liaison for staff shift transitions + Plan, develop and oversee staffing schedules + Schedule and conduct in-services meetings for staff + Prepare and participate in surveys and inspections made by authorized government agencies + Partner with the DON for nursing operation efficiencies + Oversee infection control program and reporting + Communicate with physicians, family members, etc. regarding resident status as appropriate + Participate in quality improvement activities + Audit skills of nursing staff Qualifications: + Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Iowa, graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. + Minimum 3–5 years of nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric or long-term care setting. + knowledgeable of state and federal regulations, quality assurance, compliance, and clinical practices. + Strong supervisory and leadership skills to develop/supervise nursing personnel in a team environment. + Highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities, and skilled in effective delegation.
