The Fleet Management System Manager is responsible for the overall strategic planning, direction, and day-to-day management of systemwide vehicle fleet to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective use.Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Systemwide Fleet Management Leadership o Supervise Regional Fleet Coordinators (Regional Fleet Coordinators will have matrix reporting to the System Manager, Fleet Management) o Monitor team productivity to ensure efficient fleet operations across the organization o Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and excellence within the fleet team. * Develop and implement fleet strategies that align with the health system's operational objectives o Monitor fleet performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve utilization, reduce costs, and enhance service quality o Ensure consistency in fleet operations across all departments and locations o Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance, safety metrics, and financial status * Oversee compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations o Conduct audits of fleet operations to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols o Manage incident reporting and resolution, including accident investigations and preventive measures. * Act as the primary liaison between the fleet team and other departments, ensuring alignment with organizational needs o Collaborate with logistics, facilities, and clinical teams to support patient care and operational objectives o Engage with external vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and maintain high service standards * Fleet emergency preparedness and readiness o Develop and oversee emergency response plans for fleet operations, ensuring readiness during crises o Coordinate fleet activities to support critical healthcare services during emergencies or disasters *_Education:_* * Bachelor’s Degree Required *__* *_Experience:_* * 3-5 plus year’s experience in fleet management or logistics, including a supervisory or leadership role. * Healthcare leadership role within a health system experienced preferred We take great care of careers.
