    Position Type: Full Time - onsite in Mount Pleasant

     

    What You'll Do

     

    Responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities of the Novant Health CMSO, primarily organizing credentialing and recredentialing of physicians, dentists, advanced practice providers and other providers within established department performance metrics. Responsible for verifications of new Novant Health applicants to include: licensure, education and training, current and prior affiliations, National Practitioner Data Bank, OIG, and board certification to assure compliance with policy, state and federal regulations, NCQA, AAAHC, DNV, TJC and other applicable regulatory standards.     Why Choose Novant Health?

     

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. College degree or equivalent experience and training required, preferably in Medical Staff Services.

    + Experience: Minimum of three years of hospital credentialing experience in medical staff services and/or a central verification office, required. Supervisory/management experience or equivalent preferred.

    + Licensure/Certification: Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services as a Certified Professional in Medical Services Management or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist REQUIRED within three years of entering the position, required.

    + Additional Skills (required):

    + In depth knowledge of TJC, AAAHC, DNV, NCQA or other applicable Regulatory Standards; experience with Medical Staff Bylaws/appointment policy interpretation; working knowledge of personal computers and software including credentialing system/database, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and other Windows environment programs. Ability to work in an electronic environment. Good typing and organization skills, as well as verbal, written and communication skills required

    + Additional Skills (preferred): Strong leadership skills such as creativity, cooperation, independent judgment, ability to delegate and resolve conflicts, adaptability, perseverance, high energy level and a strong work ethic.
