    PRN Child Care Teacher Assistant – Winston-Salem, NC

     

    Schedule: PRN (as needed) Availability required between 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM, Monday through Friday

    What You'll Do

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist lead teachers in implementing daily classroom activities and routines.

    + Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate environment.

    + Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.

    + Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.

    + Support the center’s goals, guidelines, and standards of excellence.

     

    What We're Looking For

     

    + Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

    + Credentials EDU 119 or equivalency as defined by DHHS Education Workforce, preferred.

    + Experience: Relevant experience, preferred.

    + Licensure/Certification:

    + NC CDL License, preferred.

    + Adult and Pediatric CPR/First Aid within 2 months of hire, required.

    + ITS SIDS within 2 months of hire, required.

    + BSAC (Basic School Age) for those working with school age children, required.

    + DHHS NC Division of Child Development Criminal Background letter and education verification or workforce letter (within 60 days).

    + Additional Skills Required:

    + BSAC required or those working with school age children and CDL if driving the bus if applicable.

    + Maintain training hours requirements as outlined for substitutes by regulatory compliance.

    + Additional Skills Preferred: The ability to work a variety of work schedules and to work effectively in all classrooms within the centers.
