Your role and responsibilities Overview As an Associate Partner in IBM Consulting’s Financial Services Strategy and Transformation practice, you will be a client-facing leader responsible for shaping and delivering strategic initiatives across banking, payments, insurance, and capital markets. You will partner with C‑suite executives to define vision, design transformation roadmaps, and implement innovative solutions leveraging IBM’s capabilities in AI, cloud, data, and enterprise resilience. Key Responsibilities * Lead strategic consulting engagements to design and execute large‑scale transformations for top-tier financial institutions. * Serve as a trusted advisor to client executives, providing thought leadership on industry trends, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies. * Develop and drive strategic roadmaps including operating model evolution, business process redesign, and digital customer experience initiatives. * Collaborate with IBM’s technology and platform teams to harness AI, data analytics, and hybrid cloud in delivering transformation outcomes. * Oversee program governance, risk management, and performance measurement for multi‑phase transformation programs. * Build and sustain senior‑level client relationships to expand IBM’s footprint in financial services accounts. * Mentor and guide consulting teams, fostering skills development and high‑performance team culture. * Contribute to practice growth through business development, proposal leadership, and identification of new market opportunities. Leaders are expected to spend time with their teams and clients and therefore are generally expected to be in the workplace a minimum of three days a week, subject to business needs. Required technical and professional expertise Required Experience & Skills * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> 12+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or transformation roles within financial services. * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Demonstrated success in leading client engagements that deliver measurable outcomes in revenue growth, operational efficiency, or customer experience. * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Deep understanding of banking, payments, capital markets, or insurance industry drivers, regulatory environment, and competitive dynamics. * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Proven ability to manage large, complex programs and multi‑disciplinary teams. * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Expertise in applying technology-led transformation including AI adoption, data‑driven decision making, and cloud modernization. * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills. * p]:pt-0 [&>p]:mb-2 [&>p]:my-0"> Track record of business development including expansion of relationships and sales pipeline contributions. Preferred technical and professional experience * Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
