Your Impact The primary purpose of this role is to lead the IT Business Continuity (IT-BCP) function within Lowe’s new Operational Resilience organization. This role ensures continuity of technology services that underpin critical business processes through hands-on planning, validation, and exercise coordination. This position manages the team responsible for developing, maintaining, and validating IT continuity plans across services and applications. The ideal candidate is a technical and operational leader who thrives on problem-solving, coordinating continuity tests, validating dependencies, and ensuring readiness evidence meets internal and audit standards. This role bridges day-to-day operational execution and long-term resilience improvement — driving measurable gains in plan accuracy, test participation, and readiness maturity — while partnering with engineering and business teams to connect continuity objectives to real service capabilities. What You Will Do + Lead the IT-BCP operations team within the Operational Resilience function, accountable for continuity planning, testing, and validation across all technology portfolios. + Partner with engineering, architecture, and DR teams to align continuity objectives with system recovery capabilities and RTO/RPO targets. + Manage the end-to-end continuity planning lifecycle — from critical service identification through plan creation, validation, and periodic testing. + Facilitate continuity exercises (tabletop, component, or service-level), ensuring they yield actionable insights and measurable improvements. + Translate technical and testing outcomes into business-relevant reporting that informs leadership decisions. + Partner with Enterprise Risk Management and Business Continuity peers to ensure IT continuity outcomes align to enterprise resilience priorities. + Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and test calendars to track plan maturity, validation coverage, and remediation progress. + Coach plan owners and service teams on continuity standards, dependency mapping, and test execution. Tactical & Operational Responsibilities + Oversee continuity plan quality and validation, ensuring each plan is executable, current, and aligned to real system configurations. + Perform dependency analysis across business processes, applications, and infrastructure layers to ensure continuity objectives are feasible. + Coordinate testing cycles and readiness assessments, capturing evidence for compliance and audit review. + Partner with DR and Incident Management teams to integrate continuity with change, problem, and event response workflows. + Track test findings, drive remediation closure, and report maturity progress to leadership. + Maintain and enhance continuity frameworks, templates, and data models that enable self-service planning across technology portfolios. + Serve as a bridge between IT service owners and business continuity partners, ensuring both technology and business requirements are met. Minimum Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field. + 6+ years of experience in Business Continuity, IT Operations, or Risk/Resilience disciplines. + Proven experience executing and validating continuity plans across complex enterprise environments. + Strong understanding of IT service architectures, dependencies, and operational workflows. + Demonstrated ability to partner with technical and business stakeholders to align recovery expectations. Preferred Skills / Education + Experience with continuity management or ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Fusion, Archer). + Working knowledge of resilience frameworks such as ISO 22301 or NIST SP 800-34. + Certifications such as ABCP, CBCP, ITIL v4, or ISO 22301 Lead Implementer. + Strong analytical and facilitation skills, with the ability to translate between business risk and technology capability. + Known for being a technical practitioner who drives tangible readiness, not just documentation.
