    Overview

     

    We are seeking a Telemetry LVN , sometimes referred to as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) . As a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) you will assist with patients that require continuous monitoring of their heart activity and vital signs. The Tele LVN will provid e basic nursing care while supporting the specialized needs of telemetry patients . Working alongside RNs, physicians, and other healthcare team members to provide patient care our hospital's Telemetry unit , LVNs focus on assisting with patient care and ensuring comfort and safety.

     

    Employment Type : Full Time

     

    Shifts Available: Nights

     

    Hours: 12-hour shifts – 7:00pm to 7:00am

     

    Location : Mission Regional Medical Center - Mission, TX

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

    + M onitor patients using telemetry equipment that tracks heart rhythms and other vital signs , you will assist in identifying irregularities or signs of distress

    + N otify the proper staff about significant changes in a patient’s telemetry readings or condition

    + M easure and record blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation

    + M aintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including telemetry data and observations

    + H elp our telemetry patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and eating

    + E xplain procedures and telemetry monitoring to patients and their families to alleviate concerns

    + W ork under the supervision of RNs and report directly to them regarding patient care issues

    Qualifications

    Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:

     

    1. Current and valid state license.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification upon hire (state specific).
