Ideal candidate will have data analysis and performance improvement experience. This position does require being on-site every day, candidate must be in the St. Louis metro area. Overview **_Barnes-Jewish Hospital_** at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Barnes-Jewish Hospital's staff is composed of full-time academic faculty and community physicians of Washington University School of Medicine, supported by a house staff of residents, interns, fellows and other medical professionals. Recognizing its excellence in nursing care, Barnes-Jewish Hospital was the first adult hospital in Missouri to be certified as a Magnet Hospital by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Wohl Clinic serves a diverse adult socioeconomic population from the metropolitan St. Louis and surrounding areas. The Psychiatry Clinic provides Psychotherapy and Medication management to established adult patients with serious mental illness requiring symptom management. All Medical care is given by third year residents under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Washington University Medicine School faculty. Patients are seen on a regularly scheduled appointment basis. Services are provided by professional personnel in nursing, diagnostic laboratories, social services, pharmacy, and patient education. Admissions to 3-Wohl are by referrals which are generated by discharging physicians from In-patient Psychiatry or from the Psychiatry resident, in the Emergency Room. Established patients with urgent needs are screened for acuity and referred to the ER as needed. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Responsible for all aspects of operational support. As a liaison, educates the healthcare organization regarding the services and expertise available. Utilize statistical analysis and performance improvement tools to construct and implement system program and processes to affect overall service of all departments. Has financial responsibility to determine best value approach for services and support. May support and develop strategic plans for various systems to support current and future service lines. Responsibilities + Maintains technical knowledge of statistical and data analysis and troubleshooting techniques + Analyzes department procedures and clinical operations. + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. + Directs the operation of the departments and integrates services within the department and with other departments or the System.
