    Job Description

    DYCD is seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Senior Director for Risk Management and Accountability within the division of Audits, Contracts, Evaluation and Sourcing (ACES). Under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner for Risk Management and Accountability the individual will serve as a key strategic partner overseeing the development, implementation and monitoring of risk management frameworks, accountability systems and compliance initiatives.

     

    Reporting directly to the Assistant Commissioner for Risk Management and Accountability, this position ensures that agency programs and providers operate with integrity, transparency and efficiency while maintaining full compliance with applicable laws, regulations and performance standards.

     

    The Senior Director will provide directions to the teams responsible for programming, internal controls and performance improvement initiatives to strengthen operational integrity across all agency activities.

    Tasks include but are not limited to:

    - Partner with the Assistant Commissioner to establish a risk-based approach for monitoring performance

     

    review activities

     

    - Serve as an advisor on issues related to risk mitigation, compliance and organizational performance

     

    - Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk register and internal controls framework

     

    - Develop training as well as policy and procedures to strengthen DYCD’s oversight of contracted

     

    providers

     

    - Ensure action plans are implemented, tracked with measurable outcomes

     

    - Support the Assistant Commissioner in special reviews, investigations in response to emerging issues

     

    - Support the Assistant Commissioner in the development of accountability standards, compliance

     

    policies and correction action protocols for internal divisions and contracted providers

     

    - Oversee timely completion of correction action plans and monitoring follow up activities

     

    - Ensure accurate, transparent and timely reporting of compliance and performance metrics to ACES

     

    leadership

     

    - Collaborate with the Planning Program Integration and Evaluation (PPIE) division in dashboard review,

     

    trend analyses and risk reports to integrate accountability metrics into agency performance

     

    management systems

     

    - Support the Assistant Commissioner in building strong partnerships with internal divisions, external

     

    oversights and vendors to advance shared accountability goals

     

    - Other duties as assigned by executive management.

    EXECUTIVE PROGRAM SPECIALIST - 06854

    Qualifications

    1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Law, or a related field from an accredited college and six months of satisfactory full-time professional experience in compliance, auditing, accountability or governance roles, preferably within the public or nonprofit sector

    2. An associate degree or completion of 60 semester credits from an accredited college, and 18 months of satisfactory, full-time professional experience as described in “1” above; or

    3. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two and one-half years of satisfactory full time professional experience as described in “1” above; or

    4. A combination of education and/or experience equivalent to “1”, “2”, or “3” above. College education may be substituted for professional experience under “2” or “3” above at the rate of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for 6 months of experience. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and 6 months of the experience described in “1” above.

    Salary Min: $ 94,050.00

     

    Salary Max: $242,675.00
