             Job Description As a GPSC Senior Sustainability Analyst, you’ll be a member of our Socially Responsible and Sustainable Supply Chains Team. You will be responsible for the development and rollout of the company’s purchasing and supply chain sustainability processes, policies, and goals. This is a unique opportunity to develop the blueprint and governance of a program that will have a ripple effect across the entire industry and country. You will play a key role in advancing GM’s Global Purchasing and Supply Chain (GPSC) sustainability efforts to a leadership position within the global community. Your work will support GM’s (Zero Emission, Zero Congestion, Zero Crashes) vision, GM’s aspiration to be the most inclusive company in the world, and strong leadership imperatives in pursuit of a more sustainable future for all. A key component of this role is to develop relationships with GM suppliers, industry partners and associations, as well as to ensure alignment and cohesion internally. You will work closely with various business units such as Corporate Sustainability, Communications, Legal, Engineering and Design. You’ll be tasked with developing and executing the fundamental strategies and techniques required for organizational change to embed sustainability across the supply chain. While environmental sustainability is the main focus of the role, you will work closely with others to embed social responsibility into GM’s supply chain sustainability program. The Senior Sustainability Analyst will need the drive to examine problems and recommended solutions thoroughly and have empathy with stakeholders to realize implementable solutions to drive forward an accelerated decarbonization and other areas of environmental impact for GM’s supply chain. This role will be tasked with program management of high visibility initiatives, and thus excellent communication skills are needed. The role will interface with senior leaders within Global Purchasing and Supply Chain as well as across GM. You will act as a subject matter expert within the company regarding supply chain and logistics sustainability. You may also be asked to be a primary contact and represent GM in forums with suppliers and industry associations. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help tell the GM story in various platforms and methods. You will also lead internal and external summits and workshops while generating momentum and enthusiasm for the journey ahead, pursuing GM’s Zero Zero Zero vision. Key Responsibilities + _Support and provide insight on Science Based Targets_ _for suppliers_ + _Lead supplier engagement activities_ + _Develop_ _and deliver_ _presentation_ _s_ _for use inside GM and externally to communicate and educate others on various aspects of supply chain sustainability_ + _Manage internal processes and systems that_ _enable program adoption and performance_ + _Benchmark_ _and stay connected to external developments in the sustainability space_ + _Support suppliers transition to renewable energy sources_ + _Develop and support water risk management in the supply chain_ + _Support development of new Sustainability goals related to supply chain and_ _logistics_ _and development of_ _new programs_ _to recently announced supply chain and_ _logistics_ _goals_ + _Support, and at times develop, strate_ _gy and content for Sustainability communications- internally and externally_ _through_ _social medi_ _a, report writing, presentations, and poster/infographics_ + _Analyze sustainability metrics and data_ _and provide recommendations and continuous improvements based on scientific_ _methodology_ _and trends_ Required Qualifications: + Bachelors Degree (preferred in Supply Chain, Environmental Engineering or Sustainability Management. + _5+ years of post graduate experience in sustainability, environmental performance,_ _or_ _ESG_ + _Demonstrated knowledge around sustainability policies, industry accepted frameworks, or climate action guidelines._ + _Experience in_ _leading_ _projects, employee engagement, and/or consulting_ + _Strong communication_ _, and presentation skills_ + _Strong organizational, problem solving and analytical skills_ + _Highly adaptable and able to work independently and in a team environment_ + _Fundamental computer_ _skills including working knowledge of MS Word, Excel_ _,_ _PowerPoint_ GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
