             Admissions Advisor (aHEO) POSITION DETAILS Located in the heart of Harlem, CCNY is the founding institution of the City University of New York system. Within the CCNY campus, the Admissions Office serves as a primary branch of the Enrollment Management (EM) Division, and promotes the recruitment and enrollment of new students to The City College of New York. The Admissions Advisor position will play a pivotal role in guiding prospective students and their families through the admissions process. This position requires a deep understanding of our institution’s programs, admissions policies, and student support services. The Admissions Advisor will be responsible for evaluating applications, providing individualized counseling, and representing the institution at various outreach events. The ideal candidate will embrace student engagement and demonstrate eagerness to work across divisions to support prospective students. The selected candidate will be required to work some evenings and weekends. In additional the CUNY title Overview of duties, the tasks of the Admissions Advisor include, but are not limited to: + Participates in admissions conversion and recruitment events, including some weekend and evening events + Provides personalized guidance to prospective students and their families regarding the admissions process, application requirements, and academic programs + Addresses recruitment, admissions and enrollment inquiries via various channels including phone, email, and in-person meetings + Supports the operations of the admissions office through application review + Utilizes college software, including CUNYfirst, Navigate and CRM, to communicate to students, enter data, review applications and make updates to records + Works in partnership with academic departments, campus offices and other college constituents to support recruited students through the admissions and enrollment process + Performs other duties, as assigned QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience: + 1-2 years of experience in student services or related field + Experience providing customer service or student-facing support Skills: + Excellent public speaking, written communication, and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and as part of a team + Knowledge of college admissions trends, policies, and practices + Excellent written and verbal communication skills Other: + Understanding of the admissions process, including processing and operations in CUNY first or other student information systems + Familiarity with territory management, recruitment and relationship building with internal and external stakeholders + Familiarity with higher education technology systems such as Peoplesoft Student Information + System (preferably CUNYfirst), EAB Navigate, Blackboard, and Degreeworks + Knowledge of the City College of New York and CUNY admission and academic requirements and policies + Knowledge of college admissions trends, policies, and practices CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW Coordinates and contributes to student recruiting activities. - Conducts open house sessions and orientations to ensure applicants are fully informed of requirements and processes - Assists in direct recruiting at high schools, community outreach events, and other appropriate locations - Provides general information on programs and services in person or by telephone, email, or letter - Maintains current information about College programs and degree requirements - Performs related duties as assigned Job Title Name: Admissions Advisor CUNY TITLE Assistant to HEO FLSA Non-exempt COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS Salary Range: $48,647 - $56,720.
