JOB SUMMARY
The Learning and Development Training Specialist plays an active role in achieving excellence in Person Centered Services’ organizational performance and effectiveness throughout eighteen (18) counties of Western New York. The role proactively fosters a culture of continuous learning and professional development for all Care Coordination team members, resulting in connecting people to the care, support and opportunities that maximize their quality of life.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
+ Commits to a respectful, just, and supportive environment for all individuals and teammates aligning with the company’s com mitment to Inclusion and Belonging .
+ Identifies, develops and delivers innovative, best-practice learning methodologies and curricula that effectively promote leadership, knowledge, skill development and constant quality improvement.
+ Collaborates across the organization to identify learning needs, acting as a point of contact for learning and development needs.
+ Deliver training and facilitate training conversations in a variety of formats and modalities (in person, web based, etc.) and develop supporting training resources including but not limited to training materials, educational resources, webinars, e-Learning courses and skills clinics.
+ Supports in the development and delivery of new employee orientation (NEO) program.
+ Supports in the facilitation and coordination of elective courses including but not limited to: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA); mentorship program; team members development program.
+ Work to advance the mission of the Inclusion and Belonging program and embed the philosophies into all learning and development sessions.
+ Serve as a point of contact for learning and development team as designated at trainings and related events.
+ Update and manage the Learning & Development intranet pages, ensuing resources and information are available and appropriate.
+ Manages daily operations of the Learning Management System (LMS) including but not limited to: updating curricula, troubleshooting end-user concerns around issues; running reports.
+ Work with the Marketing and Communications team to help plan, edit, and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as the intranet, newsletter, and internal emails.
+ Supports the organization’s continuous quality improvement methodology of assess and plan, implement and deliver and reassess and adjust.
+ Uses evaluation tools (surveys) to assess the success of the training offerings.
+ Summarizes feedback on training programs and uses information to continuously improve.
+ Manages training administration details including but not limited to setting up meetings, scheduling learning events, sending out invitations and confirmations, materials duplication and ordering training supplies.

+ Demonstrates professionalism including setting and respecting professional boundaries.
+ Experienced with Learning Management Systems and E-Learning software.
+ Experienced with Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams
+ Ability to use presentation software including but not limited to Mentimeter
+ Values learning, continuous growth and excellence.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ At least 1 year of experience in workforce training, required.
+ Inclusion & belonging knowledge preferred.
+ Experience in Care Coordination (formerly Medicaid Service Coordination) preferred.
+ Strong knowledge of OPWDD funded services and supports preferred.
+ Knowledge in areas of intellectual and developmental disabilities, preventive health, mental health, chronic disease, behavioral health and substance abuse, Social Determinants of Health and of OPWDD and DOH services and regulations for Health Home Care Coordination and Basic, preferred.
+ Experience in human services provider agency or health care setting preferred.
