The global Human Resource (HR) Function provides an integrated talent management system that delivers a workforce that is Corning's competitive differentiator in the global marketplace.

Role Purpose
The HR Specialist, Supply Chain administers HR programs, processes, and policies while ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Acting as the primary HR interface for assigned client groups, this role provides proactive support for onboarding, exits, leave administration, talent acquisition, HR data management, and organizational communications. This role drives operational efficiency by recommending process improvements, supporting early career initiatives, and ensuring HR standards and guidelines are consistently applied.
Key Responsibilities
+ Serves as data steward of record for assigned groups
+ HR interface with client group for any HR questions (process, policy, benefits, etc.) as needed
+ Proactive client group management serving as HR generalist for certain teams within function including point for onboarding and exits, and leave administration
+ Point of contact for annual Supply Chain awards with admin/communication support
+ Partner with hiring manager to prepare & release organization announcements
+ Primary point to enter HR Shared Services (HRSS) tickets and escalation as needed during transition
+ Periodic audit of HR data in HRIS and submit change requests to HRSS as needed.
+ Recommends areas for standardization of HR programs / processes / policies, as appropriate, to reduce complexity of administration and associated costs
+ Point for US recruiting for C band and below requisitions for assigned groups, supporting the hiring manager and working closely with talent acquisition to interview and select great talent for Corning
+ Owner for early career work- intern hiring, intern council member calendar management with Leadership Team exposure, and support for early career rotational program
+ Other ad hoc requests as needed including HR project work
Experiences/Education - Required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
+ 2+ years of experience in HR and/or administrative roles
+ Proficiency in Excel is required, with analytical and reporting skills
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
+ Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information confidentially with high attention to detail.
Experiences/Education - Desired
+ Familiarity with HR systems such as PeopleSoft, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
+ Knowledge of HR policies, processes, and procedures.
+ Proven track record in HR or business process administration, including recruiting and early career program support.
+ Ability to work independently, take initiative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
The range for this position is $60,410.00 - $83,065.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
