As a **Security Officer - Access Control Driver - Tech** in **BOISE, ID** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Allied Universal team member in a tech and media environment, you will be responsible for access control by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents. Your role will also focus on providing outstanding customer service and clear communication to everyone onsite. This is a driving post and requires a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately during emergency situations.

+ Control access to the location by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized entry.

+ Monitor and address incidents or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents.

+ Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or concerns to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.

+ Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and contractors to provide directions and uphold access control protocols.

+ Utilize technology and access control systems to monitor and manage entry to restricted areas within the location, particularly suited to a tech, media, or telecom environment.

Minimum Requirements:

+ A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ At least one year of security-related experience is required.

+ CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
