Description

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world. The Ground Infrastructure team is tackling deployments to the entire globe to deliver service to customers.

The Director of Ground Infrastructure is seeking an experienced, multitasking, and self-motivated Executive Assistant. This role requires superior attention to detail, the ability to meet tight deadlines, great organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple requests. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling business critical information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside the company is important, as is emotional intelligence, kindness, and a good sense of humor. The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete complex tasks and projects quickly with minimal guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, take effective action with strong ambiguity, and show grace under pressure.

Responsibilities for this position include the ability to think and plan ahead, develop mechanisms and processes, and ensure the leader and team's time is managed effectively.

Key responsibilities:

• Proactive coordination and engagement with leadership in planning and organizing events, travel and conference schedule, and business cycle calendars.

• Management of large organizations calendar and scheduling requirements.

• Assistance with trade shows/vendor conferences.

• Tracking and helping drive completion of key deliverables and following up on action items.

• Some travel may be required to assist team at conferences.

• Drive key team activity logistics such as staff meeting agendas, off-sites, and all-org meetings.

• Space planning oversight

• Travel coordination and expense reimbursement.

• Management of special projects as needed.

• Have fun at work and help others do the same.

Export Control Requirement:

Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Basic Qualifications

- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

- 5+ years of senior level leadership support experience

- High school or equivalent diploma

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience leading process improvements

- Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

- Experience designing processes to maximize efficiency

- Experience with end-to-end project management

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
