    At AWS, we're looking for a highly experienced and strategic Cross-Channel Marketing Strategy Leader to join our team as a senior individual contributor. In this role, you'll be accountable for defining and presenting multi-channel strategies, evaluating channel investment mix, and optimizing performance. Your goal will be to develop cross channel sharing mechanisms, develop ways for channels to build off of one another, drive demand generation, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for AWS.

     

    This position requires a deep understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and a proven track record of leading successful multi-channel campaigns. You will act as a senior role model and mentor to your peers, sharing your expertise, enabling cross channel team collaboration, and helping to elevate the team's overall capabilities. You'll also be a central hub for collaboration across our Integrated Demand Center, ensuring alignment and cohesive marketing efforts with campaign managers and customer experience leads. This includes determining which channels (e.g., paid search, display, email) are best suited to reach priority personas, geographies, funnel stages, and category themes—based on historical performance and customer journey requirements.

    Key job responsibilities

    • Strategy Development: Design and execute a holistic cross-channel marketing strategy aligned to the company's business objectives via the integrated demand plans (IDP). This includes channel mix and strategy for each IDP as well as across IDPs.

    • Channel Management: Oversee the strategy and cross channel integrations for all digital marketing channels, including but not limited to:

    o Search Engine Marketing (SEM/PPC)

    o Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

    o Social Media Marketing (Paid and Organic)

    o Email Marketing

    o Programmatic Advertising

    o Website & Content Marketing

    • Integrated Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the Integrated Demand Center. You'll collaborate with campaign managers to develop integrated demand plans, partner with customer experience leaders to map and optimize customer journeys, and work with content creators in the content studio to ensure content is aligned with strategy.

    • Performance Analysis: Utilize data and analytics in collaboration with demand services team to measure the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership and use data to inform future strategies. Collaborate with Data Science teams to develop and execute channel experiments to evaluate incrementality and marketing mix models.

    • Channel Investment Mix: Evaluate and optimize channel mix for each campaign priority area and manage the marketing budget effectively across all channels to maximize ROI.

    • Mentorship & Influence: Act as a senior role model and mentor to peers and junior team members. Share your knowledge and best practices to help grow the expertise of the team.

    • Collaboration: Work closely within the demand center and across product marketing, sales, brand advertising, developer experiences, creative, and other teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated marketing approach.

    • Innovation: Stay current with the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices. Identify and consolidate business requirements for marketing tech stack to improve our marketing efforts.

    About the team

    The Marketing Channels team resides within the Integrated Demand Center (IDC). The IDC is responsible for designing and delivering globally scalable demand campaigns that reflect AWS’s top business priorities. The Demand Center sets campaign strategy, develops and localizes core content, executes across owned and paid media channels, manages the customer journey, and tracks performance through an analytics and measurement function. The Channels team activates campaigns across digital platforms using a mix of in-house content and external agency support. Channels is accountable for defining the channel strategy, building, and launching channel-specific tactics, and optimizing performance in partnership with Demand Services.

    Basic Qualifications

    - Experience analyzing digital marketing campaigns, patterns and data trends to determine if they are meeting business objectives, and in turn leading recommendations to optimize

     

    - Experience collaborating and influencing multiple teams across multiple organizations

     

    - Experience conducting sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations

     

    - Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or equivalent

     

    - 10+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, with a focus on developing and executing cross-channel strategies, preferably within a large technology company.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives

     

    - Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates

     

    - Experience delivering against a large organization's long-term strategy and goals

    Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
