             Description This Construction Manager ole is an exciting opportunity that is a fast moving position working from offices in Austin TX , Seattle, WA , and New Jersey NY The role is responsible for managing ongoing requests for replacement equipment or small project support initiated through the PERF intake system or other Store Development platforms and tools. This position reports directly to an Executive Leader and oversees the tactical execution of requests, as well as reporting to key stakeholders. Works closely with peers in Store Development to get projects over the finish line in a timely manner by cultivating a team environment of shared fate, communication, service and accountability. Builds and maintains strong relationships with contractors, service providers, equipment suppliers, as well as stakeholders in store operations and regional leadership. SPMs are data driven and solution-oriented with passion for moving at the speed of retail. Operational knowledge of retail execution, production flow and key equipment are a plus, as well as cross-functional SDT experience. This position will work five days a week in an office located in Austin TX , Seattle WA or Jersey City, New jersey. Professional / Project Management Knowledge: • Experience with retail grocery and/or food service operations, equipment and merchandising- with passion for operational workflow processes and effective store design. • General understanding of facilities infrastructure, as impacted by store level production equipment. • Advanced ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects. Ability to prepare and guide schedules effectively. • Awareness of regulatory requirements which must be considered in coordination of equipment and projects in operating stores. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment- fostering a culture of excellence and accountability • Excellent planning and organizational skills • Ability to effectively organize and handle multiple small projects concurrently • Experience planning budgets and tracking expenses, and performing equipment life-cycle cost analyses • Ability to manage multiple suppliers, service providers, and contractors in a diverse environment with a focus on customer service • Self-directed and ability to solve problems • Strong work ethic and high standard of service • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, web-based applications and ability to learn custom applications • Strong knowledge of Whole Foods Market brand integrity Interpersonal and Communication Skills: • This TM must have a service mindset, with ability to find alignment amongst stakeholders in a dynamic environment with competing priorities. • Communicates structured information in a clear, concise, and organized fashion. Organization & Business Knowledge: • Understands trends and emerging challenges of the customer base, market and industry. • Applies business and project understanding to focus project team's efforts • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM and Amazon product mix, supply base and retail operations. Education & Experience: • BA/BS degree and 4-6 years relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities: • Oversight of cross functional coordination among disciplines (design, décor, equipment, construction, facilities) to shepherd projects through completion successfully. • Prioritize and successfully address requests in a timely manner with a high level of service. • Clear and concise communication with Operations and field support teams to ensure quality install every time tH Seeks feedback, always learning, and strives to become an expert across a broad area of Store Development services. • Team player with the ability to pivot based on company priorities. • Trouble shoots challenges to provide ongoing process and program improvement. • Ability to operate daily in a queue / work ticket environment with fulfillment, ownership and creativity Manage ball in court activities effectively, providing ongoing reporting on execution metrics to provide accountability. • Drives and supports consistency in execution across enterprise allowing for pooled resources and efficiencies. • Partners with Facilities and Equipment teams to create programs that extend the useful life of our equipment while reducing the cost to maintain. • Partners with Facility Support team in third-party supplier review meetings to assess service levels, opportunities for savings, and areas for improvement; recommend contract changes and/or terminations where warranted. • Maintains applicable compliance and regulatory programs as required. The base pay for this position ranges from $69,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,800/year in our highest geographic market.
