As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor entrances and exits, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through your visibility and presence. What You'll Do:

+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies at government facility access points.

+ Control entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and/or materials at designated access control points to help to deter unauthorized access.

+ Verify credentials and monitor individuals entering or leaving the location as per established protocols.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities when appropriate.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks and observe for unusual activity.

+ Document and report any irregularities, property damage, or security-related incidents according to Allied Universal and client protocols.

+ Communicate with site personnel, visitors, and local authorities as required to support access control and emergency response activities.

+ Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related incidents and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
