    **Pay Range:** $57.36 - $96.37 per hour

    Summary:

    Job **Summary:**

    The Program Director serves as a senior operational leader for the Road Home Program, a nationally recognized center of excellence that provides mental health services to veterans, service members, and their families. This role is responsible for high-level oversight of program operations, financial and grant management, human resources coordination, compliance, and stakeholder engagement. In collaboration with institutional leadership and external funders, this position ensures the strategic and sustainable growth of the program while upholding its mission and service commitments. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

    Required Job Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field.

    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including financial, operational, or administrative leadership.

    • Proven success in donor relations, grants management, and cross-functional collaboration.

    • Experience working in healthcare, academic medicine, or nonprofit environments.

    • Strong project management, analytical, and communication skills.

    Preferred Job Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in business, Health Administration, Public Administration, or related field.

    • Prior experience working with military or veteran-serving programs.

    • Familiarity with institutional systems at Rush or similar academic medical centers.

    Responsibilities:

    Job **Responsibilities:**

    1. Strategic and Operational Leadership

    • Direct day-to-day non-clinical operations to ensure smooth program delivery across administrative, clinical, and research teams.

    • Collaborate with program and departmental leadership on long-term planning, strategic initiatives, and mission-driven growth.

    • Lead space planning, workflow optimization, and process improvement initiatives to support evolving program needs.

    • Serve as a key liaison with institutional departments including Psychiatry, RUMG, Legal, HR, Compliance, and Finance.

    2. Fiscal Oversight and Grant Administration

    • Manage multi-million-dollar budgets across multiple revenue streams including institutional, grant, and philanthropic sources.

    • Oversee cost transfers, labor distribution, journal entries, and other financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    • Partner with Principal Investigators and research teams on grant submissions, budgets, and narrative support.

    • Maintain oversight of funder reporting requirements, with timely and accurate submission of financial and narrative updates.

    3. Donor Stewardship and Philanthropic Engagement

    • Collaborate with the Office of Philanthropy to develop and implement donor engagement strategies.

    • Lead the planning and execution of major donor events, including site visits, milestone celebrations, and open house experiences.

    • Develop content and reports that reflect program impact, data, and strategic priorities for donors and external partners.

    • Represent the program in high-level meetings with philanthropic partners, including national funders such as WWP.

    4. Human Resources and Workforce Development

    • Oversee administrative HR functions including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and promotions.

    • Partner with HR and Compensation to align job structures and create sustainable advancement pathways

    • Provide leadership on internal equity, pay parity analysis, and workforce planning to support a mission-aligned culture.

    5. Compliance and Institutional Alignment

    • Ensure adherence to internal and external compliance requirements including Rush policies, grant guidelines, and funder expectations.

    • Support and maintain agreements and contracts with institutional and external collaborators.

    • Help develop policies and procedures to ensure ethical, efficient, and mission-driven program execution.

    6. Data, Reporting, and Evaluation

    • Collaborate with data and clinical operations teams to ensure accurate tracking of program outcomes, patient volume, and utilization trends.

    • Use data insights to inform budget planning, staffing decisions, and strategic goal setting.

    • Support sustainability planning by linking data to long-term projections and funder reporting needs.

    7. Equity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement

    • Actively participate in the DEI Committees for both the Road Home Program and Department of Psychiatry.

    • Promote inclusive practices across staffing, operations, and outreach initiatives.

    • Support relationship-building with community stakeholders, veteran-serving organizations, and national partnerships.
