    Job Title: Director, Video Content

     

    Department: Marketing

     

    FLSA: Exempt

     

    General Function

     

    The Director of Video Content is responsible for leading the strategy, creative development, and production of all video content across the organization. This role oversees concepting, storytelling, and execution for brand, social, and internal communications, ensuring all video content aligns with the company’s voice, tone, and business objectives. The ideal candidate is both a creative visionary and a strong operational leader who can balance high-level strategy with hands-on production oversight. The Director collaborates closely with Marketing, Communications, and other cross-functional teams to ensure consistent storytelling and visual alignment across all video content.

     

    Reporting Relations

     

    Accountable and Reports to: VP, Brand & Creative

     

    Direct Reports: Production Specialist, Content Writer, Multimedia Designer, Jr. Multimedia Designer

    Primary Duties and Responsibilities

    + Develop and lead the overall video content strategy to support brand, marketing, and communications goals.

    + Partner with marketing, creative, and digital teams to ensure all video content is aligned with campaign objectives and brand identity.

    + Oversee the concepting, scripting, and storyboarding of all video projects—from broadcast commercials to social content and internal storytelling.

    + Manage the full production lifecycle, including budgeting, scheduling, production and post-production.

    + Ensure creative consistency and high production quality across all video outputs.

    + Direct internal and external creative teams, agencies, and production partners.

    + Identify emerging video trends, platforms, and technologies to keep the brand ahead of the curve.

    + Use insights to optimize future video content strategy and creative execution.

    + Work to create consistent and efficient workflows and processes to help guide the creation of video content in an effective manner.

    Education and Experience

    + Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, Marketing, or related field.

    + 8–10+ years of experience in video production, creative direction, or content strategy, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

    + Proven track record of producing high-quality video content across multiple platforms (broadcast, social, digital, internal).

    + Deep understanding of storytelling, cinematography, and brand building.

    + Experience with scaling content versions through use of advanced AI capabilities.

    + Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

    + Excellent communication and presentation abilities.

    + Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro.

    + Familiarity with industry-standard camera equipment and technologies.

    + Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful video projects.

    Physical Requirements

    + Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction, normal depth perceptions.

    + Must be physically able to perform light work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects and occasionally standing or walking.

    + Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

     

    Working Conditions

     

    The duties of this position are performed in a combination of on location video shoots as well as a general office setting. There may be travel involved.

     

    Supervisory Responsibility

     

    Manages a creative team, consisting of a creative producer, content writer and multimedia designer.

     

    Contacts

     

    Has daily contact with store and office personnel, suppliers/vendors and the general public.
