What will you be doing?
The selected Tax Accountant plays a crucial role in helping HAEA navigate the complexities of tax laws and regulations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Tax Accountant with experience and knowledge in various tax compliance and planning to support our growing IT organization.
+ Tax Return Preparation & Filing: Handle indirect tax filings (sales/use, property, GST), coordinate with external firms for corporate and expatriate income tax returns, and ensure timely payments.
+ Tax Planning & Strategy: Develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities legally and optimize profitability while maintaining compliance.
+ Tax Research & Updates: Conduct research to support tax positions and stay current with evolving tax laws and regulations.
+ Compliance & Audit Support: Ensure accurate and timely tax filings across jurisdictions and assist with inquiries and audits from tax authorities.
+ Advisory & Financial Support: Provide tax guidance on business decisions and assist in budgeting and financial strategy development.
Basic Qualifications
+ Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience; 2–5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, especially in indirect tax.
+ Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of tax laws, codes, and forms; skilled in accounting software and data analysis.
+ Core Competencies: Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail; able to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Advanced degrees or CPA certification preferred.
Base Salary Range: $83,940 - $120,032
