    Quality Assurance Technician – Immediate Openings (Weekend Shifts Available)

    **Location:** Sumner, WA

    **Pay Range:** $22–$25/hour

    **Schedule:** Full-time, 40 hours/week

    **Shifts Available:** Day Shift & Night Shift (Friday–Sunday)

     

    We are hiring immediately for a Quality Assurance Technician to support food safety and quality control operations in a fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in food manufacturing or meat processing who are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards.

    Position Overview

    The QA Technician is responsible for monitoring food safety procedures, conducting inspections, maintaining records, and supporting compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires full-time onsite presence and collaboration with production teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Conduct pre-operational inspections and monitor critical control points

    + Maintain accurate records and perform quality control data entry

    + Inspect incoming materials and verify outgoing shipments

    + Identify and hold non-compliant products; assist with root cause analysis

    + Monitor production areas for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance

    + Interpret product specifications and ensure adherence to safety plans

    + Support special projects and ensure accurate data collection

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    + Minimum 2 years of experience in food manufacturing or meat processing

    + High School Diploma required

    + Familiarity with HACCP, USDA inspection protocols, or SQF/BRC standards

    + Knowledge of food allergen management programs

    + Strong verbal and written communication skills

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software

    + Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

    + Willingness to obtain PCQI or HACCP certification if not already held

    Work Environment & Physical Requirements

    + Work in cold environments (below 40°F)

    + Exposure to moderate noise levels

    + Frequent walking, carrying items, and occasional use of a 3-ft step ladder

    + Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 20 lbs occasionally (with accommodation)

    + Extended periods of computer work and desk-based tasks

    **Pay Details:** $22.00 to $26.00 per hour
