From coast to coast, notable projects include The Purple Line (D Line) Extensions in Los Angeles, SR 99 Viaduct replacement tunnel in Seattle, East Side Access projects and the Hudson Yards Platform in New York, Central Subway Third Street Light Rail in San Francisco, and multiple airport expansions and bridge projects. _Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent._ DESCRIPTION: + Design, configure, and maintain core, distribution, and access layer network devices, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers + Plan and implement next‑generation data center architectures, including VXLAN overlays and EVPN control planes, to enable scalable segmentation and Layer 2 extension over Layer 3 + Manage and optimize data center network infrastructure to ensure high availability, low latency, and secure connectivity + Implement and maintain network segmentation, VLANs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) to support multi-tenant and multi-site environments + Monitor network performance using tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent, and proactively address bottlenecks or failures + Troubleshoot and resolve complex Layer 1–Layer 7 network issues, including hardware failures, configuration errors, and connectivity problems + Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning by ensuring redundant network paths and failover capabilities + Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures for internal knowledge sharing and compliance purposes + Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning by ensuring redundant network paths and failover capabilities + Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures for internal knowledge sharing and compliance purposes REQUIREMENTS: + Three plus years in network engineering, preferably in a data center or large-scale enterprise environment. + High School Diploma or GED + Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent + Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, and switching concepts + Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba or similar enterprise-grade networking equipment + Experience designing or deploying modern data center fabrics; VXLAN/EVPN knowledge strongly preferred, even if not from current production use + Familiarity with network security principles and tools (firewalls, VPNs, ACLs) + Experience with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, or similar) is a plus + Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment _Tutor Perini builds extraordinary projects, and we need exceptional talent.
