About the Role In this vital position, you’ll help drive scientific breakthroughs by processing SPF chicken embryos, culturing cells, and handling microbial cultures. You’ll produce crucial reagents, prepare buffers and media, and keep our lab running seamlessly through meticulous documentation and maintenance. Your expertise will directly support our pursuit of scientific excellence! What You’ll Do + Accurately process SPF chicken embryos, cell cultures, and microbial cultures + Produce high-quality antigens and reagents for research purposes + Prepare buffers, media, and solutions to support experiments + Maintain precise and detailed internal documentation + Ensure a clean, safe, and organized lab environment through waste management and glassware preparation What We’re Looking For Key Skills & Experience: + Hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, ideally in a cleanroom environment + Proficiency with PPE, aseptic techniques, and hood operation + Strong understanding of biology and microbiology fundamentals + Skilled in pipetting, autoclaving, and sterile techniques + Familiarity with fume hood procedures Additional Qualifications: + High school diploma or GED (or higher education) + 1-2 years of relevant experience or training (or an equivalent mix of education and hands-on work) Work Environment & Physical Demands + Standing, sitting, and reaching for extended periods + Handling lab tools, objects, and controls with precision + Operating microscopes and other specialized equipment + Frequently lifting up to 50 pounds + Visual acuity for close, distant, and color-sensitive work + Occasionally working in warm conditions Compensation & Benefits Enjoy a competitive hourly wage of$18.00 - $19.00, plus a comprehensive benefits package, including: + Medical, dental, and vision insurance + Critical illness, accident, and hospital coverage + 401(k) plan with pre-tax and Roth options + Life insurance and AD&D coverage + Short and long-term disability benefits + Health Savings Account (HSA) + Transportation assistance and Employee Support Programs + Generous PTO, vacation, and sick leave Note: Benefits are subject to eligibility, employment status, and plan specifics.
