Job Title: Immunology Associate ScientistJob Description
We are seeking an Immunology Associate Scientist to determine pre-existing AAV antibody titers permissible for effective AAV administration. This role will provide valuable experience in the biotech sector, with a focus on neuromuscular disease foundational research and viral vector and immune cell interactions.
Responsibilities
+ Learn and perform assigned procedures and experiments.
+ Process data into meaningful representations.
+ Understand the experimental process and objectives to recognize atypical results and troubleshoot.
+ Communicate information and results effectively in formats such as lab notebooks, presentations, and technical reports.
+ Contribute to lab operational activities.
+ Collaborate effectively as part of a dynamic team within Research Operations and across different departments in Research & Early Development.
+ Operate within an aseptic/sterile laboratory environment.
+ Use serological pipettes and micro-pipettes.
+ Maintain primary cells and cell lines.
+ Conduct standard sandwich and electro-chemiluminescent enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs).
+ Perform colorimetric enzyme activity assays.
+ Conduct capillary electrophoresis.
Essential Skills
+ Basic foundational understanding of immunology.
+ Experience with sterile cell culture and micropipetting.
+ Proficiency in data analysis.
+ Ability to perform ELISA, aseptic processing, sterile processing, pipetting, and capillary electrophoresis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Hold a BS in biology, chemistry, or a relevant science engineering field.
+ Up to 2 years of post-baccalaureate research experience.
+ A reliable, thorough, accountable, and careful approach.
+ Willingness to work with animal tissues and mammalian cells.
+ General interest in immunology and scientific career prospects in medicine, biomedical research, or biotechnology.
+ Good academic track record.
Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a laboratory environment (70-80%) with some desk work for data analysis, interpretation, and report preparation. The standard working hours are 8:30 or 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with flexibility required on specific occasions. The role is onsite only, requiring a 40-hour work week. The position is for a duration of 6-7 months, concluding around June 2026.

This is a Contract position based out of ROCKVILLE, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
