Entry-Level Power Distribution Engineer – Boone, NC

What You’ll Do

+ Assist in designing overhead and underground power distribution systems

+ Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, and equipment sizing

+ Support engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports

+ Collaborate with project managers, field engineers, and utility partners

+ Conduct site visits to collect data and support construction activities

+ Ensure compliance with safety codes and industry standards

+ Use tools like AutoCAD, GIS, and power system analysis software

What You Bring

+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field

+ Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

+ Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

+ Valid driver’s license and willingness to work outdoors

Bonus Skills:

+ Experience in construction, solar, renewables, surveying, or utility field work

+ Knowledge of the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC)

+ Comfort with field data software and survey equipment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
