• Owners Rep/Construction Manager - Data Center

    About the Role

     

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Manager to lead and coordinate construction activities for advanced data center projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless execution across ground-up developments, facility upgrades, infrastructure expansions, and large-scale retrofits. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and project management skills to drive success across complex construction environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

     

    + Partner with on-site EH&S teams to uphold health, safety, and security standards.

    + Ensure compliance with corporate safety objectives.

     

    Procurement & Logistics

     

    + Oversee site logistics for owner-furnished equipment.

    + Inspect and verify delivery of all furnished materials and equipment.

     

    Construction Oversight

     

    + Maintain consistent on-site presence (Mon–Fri, 7AM–5PM; evenings/weekends as needed).

    + Participate in coordination meetings (OAC, BIM/VDC, design reviews, etc.).

    + Provide technical support and quality control for equipment installations.

    + Monitor contractor progress and flag delays or risks.

    + Prepare detailed project reports with variance and risk analysis.

     

    Quality Assurance

     

    + Manage job site photography and documentation.

    + Ensure alignment with quality control plans and specifications.

    + Oversee punch list resolution and turnover readiness.

    + Maintain site cleanliness and best practices for data center builds.

     

    Site Security

     

    + Enforce adherence to site-specific security protocols.

     

    Billing & Change Management

     

    + Support budget tracking and review contractor pay applications.

    + Evaluate and document change orders.

     

    Commissioning & Closeout

     

    + Assist engineering teams during commissioning phases.

    + Coordinate and verify turnover package completeness.

     

    Leadership & Coordination

     

    + Lead by example and energize cross-functional teams.

    + Manage special projects and support interdepartmental collaboration.

    + Serve as site logistics lead and host site visits.

    + Act as liaison with utilities and third-party contractors.

    Qualifications

    + 5+ years in commercial or industrial construction (data center experience preferred).

    + Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

    + OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).

    + Post-secondary education preferred.

    + Deep understanding of construction systems, budgeting, and scheduling.

    + Ability to work independently with a proactive mindset.

    + Familiarity with CPM scheduling logic.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $85.00 - $95.00/hr.
