Job Description:Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Iowa State University is seeking a postdoc research associate to conduct research in organic chemistry and report research outcomes in publications. The postdoc will mentor undergraduate and graduate students and also maintain lab operations.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in organic chemistry
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in asymmetric synthesis and structural analysis with 2D NMR
Department/Program & College Description:
Our department is home to an exciting multidisciplinary program that applies the fundamental principles of organic chemistry to address complex challenges of national and global significance. Particular areas of expertise include organic synthesis, catalysis, and the development of new methods, biomimetic chemistry, photochemistry, and more. Our organic faculty frequently collaborate with other chemistry divisions to solve complex chemical problems, such as combining computational and experimental studies to guide the development of new chemical reactivity.
