We are seeking a skilled Data Center Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of critical equipment and systems within our data centers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, with a strong background in safety protocols.
Responsibilities
+ Perform assigned basic tasks such as making rounds, recording building observations, and taking measurements under varying levels of supervision.
+ Learn to operate all systems and equipment safely and professionally, understanding associated risks.
+ Monitor and inspect critical environment-related facility equipment, including controls, HVAC, and mechanical systems, for unsafe or abnormal conditions.
+ Monitor the performance of maintenance and operations of equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety systems.
+ Utilize the internal computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to track equipment assets and complete work order requests.
+ Perform various types of maintenance, including planned, predictive, and corrective, following methods of procedure (MOPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Troubleshoot equipment and systems, both independently and with guidance, and document tasks and issues for follow-up.
+ Assess and identify resources and equipment necessary to support environmental health and safety (EHS) objectives.
+ Prepare and submit required reports, such as turnover and planned maintenance reports, following preexisting scripts and templates.
+ Develop MOPs and SOPs to ensure safe and reliable execution of procedures.
Essential Skills
+ 8-10 years of technical services experience in high-availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments.
+ Good understanding of electrical systems, including UPS projects and floor power distribution.
+ Problem-solving skills and clear communication abilities.
+ Background in construction safety, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
+ Experience in data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, or pharmaceutical industries.
+ Mission critical experience is advantageous.
Work Environment
This position is onsite and involves working on projects at the MSFT CO and MWH campuses. The role requires 40 hours per week, with the potential to work four 10-hour days if a holiday falls during the week. Expect to work in a highly technical and safety-focused environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Quincy, Washington.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
