             Job Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description Ensure food safety and quality requirements for processing raw materials into finished flavors conform to quality standards. Inspect all incoming raw materials and finished products according to company standards. Test raw material to identify potential replacements, and test, approve, and release finished flavors for packaging. Document all inspections and log product samples while maintaining work area compliance with relevant quality management systems through recordkeeping. Prepare samples for shipment to testing facilities, and prepare and verify finished goods labels. Create labels for packaging materials, complete QC line sheets, and assist QA Manager in investigating returned product complaints. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Microsoft Office. + Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). + Experience in quality assurance and laboratory settings. + Ability to analyze liquids and powders. + Communication and inspection skills. + Understanding of chemistry. Additional Skills & Qualifications + High school diploma and 6 months of lab experience required. + Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field and one year of quality assurance experience preferred. + Experience in a sensory environment is preferred. + Experience within flavor, food, beverage, fragrance, or nutraceutical/dietary supplement industries is preferred. Work Environment This position is within a flavor manufacturing company, working with concentrated chemicals in a lab and warehouse setting. It involves the use of standard office equipment and standard lab equipment such as printers, allergen testing kits, pipettes, scales, meters, and the GC/MS. The noise level may vary. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Clemente, California. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
