We are seeking an Electrical Sustaining Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will utilize engineering principles, education, and relevant technology to develop and support all new, improved, or additional features of products and their applications. Electrical Engineers may also assist sales, production, quality, or procurement in technical matters. The Electrical Sustaining Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering and work daily out of our facility in Plymouth, MN. Please note that work authorization support for this role cannot be provided.
Responsibilities
+ Accomplish the engineering design, development, modification, or adaptation of products by conducting analysis and testing for the validation of products.
+ Solve functional, application, or production problems and improve the functional capabilities of existing products.
+ Redesign existing products to achieve new requirements, features, cost reduction, or updates due to obsolete components or to reach the current 'state of the art'.
+ Independently apply engineering knowledge, experience, and education to complex or demanding engineering tasks.
+ Organize, prioritize, and complete work assignments with quality and in a timely manner.
+ Assist key stakeholders in sales, marketing, service, production, drafting, design, procurement, supplier, and operations personnel in technical matters and direction.
+ Respond with commitment and sensitivity to satisfying the needs of internal and external customers.
+ Maintain cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees.
+ Facilitate cross-functional discussions.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university or related degree.
+ 3+ years of experience in managing PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) and PCBAs (Printed Circuit Board Assemblies).
+ Good knowledge of ECAD tools and mechanical CAD tools, with experience in Altium Designer and NX being a plus.
+ Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics, geometry, and trigonometry.
+ Experience in reading and understanding mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, PCB layout, and PCB drawings.
+ Basic knowledge of digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, PC data acquisition hardware, inspection equipment, signal generators, power supplies, RF equipment, and current probes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in hardware design, electrical engineering, PCB design, PCB layout, microcontroller, schematic capture, and circuit design.
Work Environment
This role will be split between a cubicle, an electronics lab, and the environmental test lab. The team is in the office 5 days a week, with flexibility around core hours to accommodate personal needs. The work environment is conducive to collaboration, with state-of-the-art technology and equipment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
