Job Title: Lean Manufacturing Specialist
Job Description
The Lean Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing process improvement initiatives across manufacturing and operational functions. This role leverages Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and ensure quality standards are upheld. The Specialist collaborates closely with production, industrial engineers, and management to ensure that improvements are executed, standardized, and sustained.
Responsibilities
+ Analyze current business and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
+ Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects using Lean Six Sigma tools.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and sustain improvements.
+ Conduct root cause analysis and problem-solving workshops.
+ Train and mentor team members on continuous improvement methodologies and tools.
+ Utilize film equipment to document processes and create standard work.
+ Document processes, improvements, and outcomes for future reference.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
+ Proficiency in using Lean and/or Six Sigma tools.
+ Strong analytical and project management skills.
+ Strong communication skills.
+ Experience working in Microsoft Office applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in continuous improvement events and Value Stream Mapping preferred.
+ Experience with Siemens systems preferred.
+ A passion for continuous improvement.

This role is based within a manufacturing facility, working at the forefront of infrastructure, electrification, and transportation solutions in the United States. The environment is dynamic, focusing on the transformative impact of automation and digitalization in the railway industry.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of North Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46363.00 - $62732.00/yr.
