    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Lab Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our lab operations. Utilize your technical skills in a state-of-the-art facility and collaborate closely with engineers to achieve our goals.

    Responsibilities

    + Change outlets and perform simple plumbing tasks.

    + Build test fixtures in collaboration with engineers.

    + Document findings and ensure proper equipment maintenance.

    + Conduct validation testing as required.

    + Troubleshoot lab and testing equipment.

    + Utilize mechanical and technical aptitude for problem-solving.

    + Work with schematics, blueprints, and electrical components.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical testing and troubleshooting experience.

    + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

    + Technical aptitude in a lab or R&D setting.

    + Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Engineering Degree - Associate's or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 0-1 years of experience.

    + Candidates with a trade school background in construction, trade, maintenance, mechanical, automotive, or plumbing.

    Work Environment

    Enjoy working in a beautiful, brand-new facility located in Carlsbad, featuring a collaborative team environment. Our lab consists of 15 engineers, but we are seeking to add electronics specialists. Experience a flexible 9/80 work schedule, granting you every other Friday off. Our facility includes an on-site self-service café, free gourmet coffee stations, and a company-sponsored fun events. Stay active with access to an on-site gym, ping-pong, foosball, outdoor bocce ball court, BBQ, and firepit. Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with flexible start times between 6:30-8:30 AM. While performing job duties, you'll be required to stand, walk, handle objects, and lift equipment. Vision abilities such as close vision, color distinction, depth perception, and focus adjustment are needed. A sense of smell to detect gas or harmful vapors is essential. Limited travel may be required.

    This is a Contract position based out of Carlsbad, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
