    We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the smooth operation of building projects. This role involves managing construction activities from the office while coordinating with field crews through regular site visits. The Superintendent plays a critical role in problem-solving and communicating with subcontractors to ensure project timelines are met.

    Responsibilities

    + Oversee and manage construction projects to ensure smooth execution.

    + Coordinate and communicate with field crews on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

    + Conduct site visits and provide support to superintendents on the ground.

    + Problem-solve with subcontractors to address timeline issues.

    + Communicate project updates to the Project Manager and other stakeholders.

    + Spend the majority of the day on-site handling project details and interacting with trades.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent.

    + Experience with commercial or educational projects.

    + Demonstrated high character and humility.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience managing projects valued at 5 million dollars or more.

    + Degree in Construction Management is preferred.

    + Experience managing 3-6 projects simultaneously.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a modern office located in downtown Grand Rapids. The company culture is close-knit and team-oriented, with a focus on humility and collaboration. The Superintendent will work closely with two to three other superintendents and collaborate with Project Managers. The dress code includes a collared shirt and slacks, with steel-toed boots required on job sites. The role involves working on-site at Coldwater schools and allows for returning home every night.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.00/hr.
