             Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for planning process flow, designing equipment layout, and balancing production lines. You will design and source tools, templates, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering requirements, and collaborate with other engineering functions, external vendors, and service providers. Your role will involve preparing production floor layouts to meet planned takt time and schedule, reviewing engineering drawings and 3D models to understand manufacturing process requirements, and leading manufacturing improvements, process changes, and technology advancements. Responsibilities + Plan process flow, equipment layout, and line balancing. + Design and source tools, templates, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering requirements. + Collaborate with engineering functions, external vendors, and service providers. + Prepare production floor layouts to meet planned takt time and schedule. + Review engineering drawings and 3D models to understand manufacturing process requirements. + Lead manufacturing improvements, process changes, and technology changes. + Develop standard work instructions using Timer Pro. Essential Skills + Experience with 2D & 3D CAD systems. + Proficiency in ERP systems and manufacturing execution software. + Experience in a production line environment, preferably in rail or aviation. + Strong project management skills, including developing project plans, timelines, and budgets. + Practical knowledge of lean principles to reduce waste. + Hands-on approach to problem-solving and countermeasure implementation. + 5+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment including assembly, welding, and coatings. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering. + Knowledge of manufacturing engineering, process improvement, continuous improvement, tooling, manufacturing process, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and assembly Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/yr. a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Lexington,NC.
