What you'll do
The Manager of Emergency Services is responsible for supporting the Director, Emergency Services in administrative duties of the unit, especially during off shifts. The Manager of Emergency Services will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Participates in organizational and unit based quality improvement activities and provides input on standards of care. Able to provide patient care when needed, remains competent in clinical skills.
+ Supervise care provided by maintaining high visibility to patients/families and staff in the clinical area(s).
+ Share accountability with Director for unit/department/organizational goals achievement.
+ Under supervision from Director, participates in basic human resource functions including recruitment, coaching, training, evaluation and development, as well as preparation and delegation of work schedules and workflow.
+ Provides managerial support as required.
+ Develops, implements, and participates in Quality Improvement Processes activities and works with members of the health care team in activities designed to improve patient care outcomes.
+ Provide leadership and serves as a resource in the provision of patient care and unit activities.
+ Assist staff in development of problem solving and decision making skills.
+ Maintain all records pertaining to the staff competency and quality audits and other related records.
+ Serve as a professional role model, coach, and resource for all employees.
+ Participates actively in Nursing and/or hospital committees and work groups.
+ Assume responsibility for own professional growth.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
+ Adheres to standards of practice as set forth in policy and guidelines to assure patient safety.
+ Uses supplies and institutional resources in a financially responsible manner.
+ Maintains an orderly, clean and safe work environment.
+ Maintains appropriate, professional personal appearance, including but not limited to required attire such as uniforms and safety apparel.
+ Assists in the training process of students and/or orientation of new personnel.
+ Participates in staffing patterns that reflect variable demands in service.
+ Demonstrates a positive attitude.

+ Participates in departmental / organizational committees.

+ Communicates necessary information to supervisor or team leader in support of unit, departmental and facility standards and policies.
What we need from you
Education:
+ 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, required
Experience:
+ Minimum 5 years of experience in the nursing field, required
+ Previous demonstrated experience in charge nurse or leadership role, preferred
Licensure/Certifications:
+ Current NYS Registered Nurse License, required
+ BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC, required
+ Preferred Certification BCEN certification, preferred

Physical Requirements:

Total Rewards
We are also offering a sign-on bonus for this position! The bonus amounts are based on the position type and are listed below. Additional details and eligibility requirements will be discussed during the interview process. Current employees of Bassett Healthcare Network are not eligible and are encouraged to apply through the internal job board. At the discretion of leadership, this program may terminate or be suspended at any time.
Bonus Amount:
+ RN (excluding management) sign-on bonuses are awarded in the amount of $20,000 for full time
+ LPN sign on bonuses are awarded in the amount of $10,000 for full time

Pay Transparency
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The above compensation range represents a good faith belief of the compensation range by Bassett Healthcare Network, and its entities and affiliates, at the time of this posting or advertisement.
Pay Range Minimum:
USD $111,376.56/Yr.
Pay Range Maximum:
USD $167,064.84/Yr.
