Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Chatsworth, California. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in managing financial transactions and ensuring accurate invoice processing. You will play a vital part in maintaining efficient accounting operations within a high-tech engineering environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable transactions accurately and in a timely manner, including invoice coding and approval.

• Verify and reconcile invoices with purchase orders and other supporting documents.

• Prepare and execute check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments.

• Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

• Address and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

• Ensure proper account coding for all invoices and expenses.

• Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency.

• Monitor and respond to inquiries regarding payment statuses and invoice issues.

• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and insights. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years experience in accounts payable or a related role.

• Proficiency in invoice coding, ACH payments, and check runs.

• Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle high volumes of transactions.

• Effective communication skills for resolving discrepancies and working with vendors.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools used for accounts payable functions.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
