    Job Title: Process Technician

    Job Description

    This role supports manufacturing by closely monitoring the performance of injection molding machines and molds, reducing scrap, and ensuring product quality. The position involves performing molding setup, start-up, tear-down, and providing support for production runs and light machine maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct various mold changeover responsibilities and advanced mold troubleshooting.

    + Ensure machine cycle, cavitation, and setup parameters are correct.

    + Perform daily preventive maintenance on molds and machines, recording performance and any adjustments.

    + Collaborate with the QA department to prevent nonconforming products.

    + Maintain machine cleanliness and conduct minor repairs on molds, machines, and equipment.

    + Assist with shift changes and machine repairs as needed.

    + Perform housekeeping duties and contribute to special projects.

    + Help establish new processes and refine current ones.

    + Train new employees and support process documentation development.

    + Troubleshoot production issues with minimal supervision.

    + Identify and develop improvements for molding processes and performance.

    + Support documentation development and record-keeping for molds and their performance.

    + Engage in continuous improvement projects supporting lean manufacturing.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 3 years of process technician experience in injection molding.

    + Ability to perform mold setups and changeovers.

    + Experience in light troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on injection molding machinery.

    + High school diploma or GED.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Formal training with RJG or similar Systematic Molding/Decoupled/Scientific molding is a huge plus.

    + Experience with Lean Manufacturing is preferred.

    Work Environment

     

    The work takes place on a climate and humidity-controlled production floor alongside numerous production staff. Occasionally, work may occur in other parts of the plant where there may be dust, noise, and a non-clean room atmosphere. The position primarily operates during the second shift from 2pm to 10:20pm, although hours may fluctuate based on department and production needs.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Wisconsin.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
