Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician
Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for installing and repairing electrical systems, apparatus, and components of machinery and equipment. You will follow electrical codes, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Assist and direct lower-level maintenance employees, advising them on proper work methods and ensuring adherence to instructions.
+ Determine the root cause of defects or problems using the '5 Why' technique with management's assistance.
+ Perform complex testing, diagnosis, maintenance, adjustment, and revision work on mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic control mechanisms.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance and routine repairs on control circuitry, bearings, chains, sprockets, conveyors, motors, belts, and other equipment components.
+ Observe system components in operation and apply appropriate testing methods to ensure continued proper functioning.
+ Locate and rectify sources of trouble, especially in emergencies, to avoid or minimize production interruptions.
+ Install or modify equipment as needed or directed.
+ Report circumstances surrounding equipment failures and recommend corrective measures.
+ Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications to locate and correct operational issues.
+ Dismantle malfunctioning systems, test components, adjust or replace defective parts, and reassemble repaired systems.
+ Test lines, components, and connections for leaks.
+ Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, including pneumatic wrenches, welding equipment, jacks, and hoists.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in pneumatics, diagnostics, troubleshooting, facilities maintenance, production maintenance, and packaging equipment.
+ Proficiency with schematic diagrams, machinery, and general maintenance.
+ 3-8 years of industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience with hydraulics, PLC, and food processing environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to install and repair equipment.
+ Strong skills in diagnosing issues.
+ Experience working with packaging equipment.

Work Environment
Work in a refrigerated environment on high-speed packaging equipment. Enjoy a multicultural workplace where seven different languages are spoken. The shift runs from Sunday to Thursday, 8 PM until completion, typically lasting 8 to 10 hours a night.

This is a Permanent position based out of Jessup, Maryland.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
