             Job Title: Machinist Assembly Technician Job Description The Machinist Assembly Technician is responsible for producing machined aircraft and aerospace parts and components. This role involves programming, setting up, and operating manual and CNC machines to ensure that products conform to design configurations and specifications. The technician will maintain quality and safety standards, keep detailed records, and manage equipment and supplies. Responsibilities + Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC, NC, and manual machines. + Plan machining tasks by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, and specifications. + Interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T) for precise machining. + Utilize ISO compliant documentation and processes to determine dimensions and tolerance of finished workpieces. + Select, align, and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials on machines. + With supervision, calculate and set controls for machining factors like speed, feed, and depth. + Start and observe machine operations to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining. + Verify conformance of finished workpieces to specifications using statistical process control (SPC) inspection systems. + Approve setup and ensure machines are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly manner. Essential Skills + 3+ years of experience on manual machines (lathes, mills, boring mills) with setup experience. + Experience with CNC machines using Fanuc Controls. + Ability to write and modify basic programs using Fanuc controls. + Proficiency in calculating speeds and feeds for various materials. + Understanding of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) requirements and workplace safety. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. The environment is structured to maintain the highest safety and quality standards, and all equipment is kept in a safe, clean, and orderly manner. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Titusville, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
