Job Title: Incoming Quality Inspector
Job Description
The Associate Incoming Inspection Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality of incoming inventory. This position involves assisting in the receipt and initial quality inspection of inventory in collaboration with the Incoming Materials Inspection team.
Responsibilities
+ Perform mechanical inspection for defects.
+ Work within established inspection criteria and sample plan for incoming materials.
+ Test electrical and data cables.
+ Document and maintain first article archive.
+ Inspect and evaluate first-articles.
+ Record non-conforming materials.
+ Report inspection findings and vendor source information to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team.
+ Present quality status to senior members of the Incoming Materials Inspection team.
+ Participate in the MRB Program.
+ Advocate for and practice all site safety rules and regulations.
+ Ensure physical attendance for performance.
+ Work extended hours and occasional weekends as necessary.
+ Complete other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ 1+ years of Quality Control experience.
+ Demonstrated ability to maintain high quality standards for incoming materials.
+ Experience with simple mechanical inspection.
+ Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
+ Experience with measurement and inspection tools.
+ Proficiency with MS Office.
+ Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds at least 40 feet.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Ability to self-organize workloads and manage deadlines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Six Sigma and MIL standards for quality control is a plus.
+ Ability to multi-task and manage various project-related duties.
+ Strong work ethic.
+ Ability to type a minimum of 25 to 30 WPM.

The work environment is a clean, smaller electronics manufacturing space with multiple small workstations. The employee will move between the receiving area and their individual workstation/bench, ensuring quality control in a dynamic and supportive setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORTLAND, Oregon.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
