Welder's Needed 2nd Shift $21.30/hr!
Job Description
As a Welder, you will perform flux core welding on mild steel to construct barges. Your role will involve reading blueprints, working in a team, and collaborating under a supervisor.
Responsibilities
+ Perform flux core, MIG, and TIG welding on mild steel.
+ Translate blueprints into effective welding plans.
+ Collaborate with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
+ Ensure welding standards are met for quality and safety.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in flux core, MIG, and TIG welding.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
+ 3-6 months of previous welding experience.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in fabrication and fitting.
+ Knowledge of welding with stainless steel, carbon steel, and structural steel.
+ Completion of a weld test (1-5F) during the interview process.
+ Opportunity to attend a two-week onsite welding school before starting floor duties.

Work Environment
Work in an outdoor environment that can be very hot. Adhere to safety protocols, including wearing steel-toe ankle-high leather boots and long sleeves and pants. Note that contact lenses are not allowed due to welding smoke exposure. The position offers two shifts: 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 3:15 pm to 12:45 am.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.30 - $21.30/hr.
