    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled 1st Shift Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient machine operations and maintaining crew safety during production hours.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machinery and ensure crew safety.

    + Troubleshoot and repair most mechanical breakdowns and adjustments.

    + Adhere to safety rules and lockout procedures.

    + Read and understand work orders.

    + Complete daily production reports.

    + Ensure all safety guards are in place.

    + Maintain cleanliness of machine area and aisles.

    + Run and change over machines.

    + Increase daily production rate while minimizing waste.

    + Set up machines as necessary.

    + Train potential operators.

    Essential Skills

    + 1+ year of machine operation experience.

    + Mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.

    + Ability to lift and handle boxes up to 50 pounds.

    + Capability to adhere to company policies and safety regulations.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with packaging, shipping, and warehouse operations.

    + Ability to use pallet jacks, perform cycle counting, and handle receiving tasks.

    + Experience as a material handler or forklift operator.

    + Previous experience in sheet metal is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    The building is very clean and well-maintained, providing a pleasant and organized work environment. The role operates on the 1st shift from 5:00am-3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility required. Safety is prioritized, and proper safety attire is necessary.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Streetsboro, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
