Job Title: Forklift Operator

Job Description

We are seeking motivated and skilled stand-up forklift operators for a manufacturing facility located in Marion, IN. Positions are available in two areas: the shipping area (freezer) and the production area (material handler).

Responsibilities

+ For Shipping Area (Freezer Driver): Move freight, stock, and load docks and delivery vehicles using a stand-up forklift.

+ Pick orders and stage final products.

+ Work regularly in a cooler and freezer environment with temperatures ranging from 35 degrees to -10 degrees.

+ Maintain accurate inventory counts and record the number of units handled or moved using daily production sheets or work orders.

+ Lift up to 50 pounds.

+ For Production Area (Material Handler): Supply raw ingredients to the production line.

+ Use a forklift to move palletized finished goods and stage them in the shipping department.

+ Maintain inventory counts and record the number of units handled or moved using daily production sheets or work orders.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in operating forklifts, including stand-up forklifts.

+ Experience with RF scanners.

+ Strong inventory management skills.

+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Previous experience as a forklift operator or material handler is preferred.

Work Environment

The facility is a clean food manufacturing environment with the pleasant aroma of freshly baked bread. The shipping department requires working in refrigerated or freezer conditions. Various shifts are available, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, as well as morning and night shifts following a 2-2-3 schedule.

This is a Permanent position based out of Marion, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $45760.00/yr.
