    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    The Machine Operator will work on various lines and areas of the production floor, focusing on filling, packaging, and some mixing on mostly automated lines. The role involves machine operation, assisting with setups and changeovers, packaging, gathering raw materials, unclogging jams, and checking production reports. This position primarily involves working on the production floor and lines.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate machines on different production lines.

    + Assist with setups and changeovers on production lines.

    + Package products and gather raw materials as needed.

    + Unclog jams and check production reports for accuracy.

    + Assist on different lines and help out where needed.

    + Operate a forklift when necessary to move items or gather products.

    + Stage skids, package, and build orders.

    Essential Skills

    + 2+ years of experience in machine operating.

    + Proficiency in machine operation and manufacturing processes.

    + Flexibility in handling various tasks.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bilingual abilities are a plus.

    + Experience with forklifts and hand tools.

    + Skills in loading, picking, and using power tools.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is not climate-controlled, with warmer temperatures in the summer and cooler conditions in the winter. Large fans are used, but candidates should be prepared for temperature variations. The company is family-oriented, values employees, and has been in business for nearly 100 years. Work hours are from 6am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday, with potential overtime after shifts or on Fridays.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
