Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in North Topeka, Kansas. This role requires a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with proven leadership skills. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations effectively, ensuring compliance and driving strategic organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

• Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports to support informed decision-making.

• Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational objectives.

• Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering growth and collaboration.

• Ensure internal controls are maintained and improved to safeguard company assets.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial challenges and opportunities.

• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.

• Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial insights.

• Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance roles.

• Proven leadership experience, with at least 3 years managing teams.

• Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting.

• Expertise in preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements.

• Ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.

• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is preferred.
