Description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Vancouver, Washington. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to manage and streamline financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice processing, account reconciliation, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable and a proactive approach to improving processes and maintaining compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Process and verify invoices and expense reports with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

• Ensure vendors and suppliers receive timely payments while maintaining strong relationships.

• Perform vendor setup and maintenance, including handling W-9 requests.

• Reconcile vendor statements and address inquiries to ensure financial accuracy.

• Assist with month-end closing tasks and prepare relevant financial reports.

• Support audits by organizing and providing necessary documentation.

• Collaborate with procurement and other departments to enforce compliance with company policies.

• Accrue use taxes appropriately and manage periodic payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.

• Prepare year-end 1099 forms in accordance with guidelines.

• Manage general accounting tasks such as filing, scanning, and organizing financial data.

Requirements • Five to eight years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis.

• Familiarity with corporate credit card expense management software, such as Concur Spend & Expense.

• Experience with payroll systems like Paycom is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of SAP or similar accounting systems.

• Ability to quickly adapt to new software and technologies with ease.

• Detail-oriented and inquisitive, with a drive for process improvement.

• Understanding of automated clearing house (ACH) payments and check runs.
